Meet Jaakko Knuutinen, Business Development Specialist at QPR

Our Business Development Specialist Jaakko Knuutinen’s QPR journey started two years ago when he spotted an announcement about an open position in a student group that sparked his interest.

Back then, Jaakko was about to start working on his master's thesis in Industrial Engineering and Management at University of Oulu and saw the opening as an opportunity to combine work and studies. QPR offered him a deal he could not resist: the possibility to start a full-time job while writing his master’s thesis about the influence of process mining on Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

At QPR, multitalented Jaakko has enjoyed working with various functions: developing applications and UX, helping customers, and assisting marketing and sales in everything from pre-sales support to video-editing and blogging.

However, his skill set does not end at the office door. His previous long-time hobbies of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and ice hockey have now been replaced by the gym, skiing, and trekking. He especially enjoys outdoor activities and fishing at his (very Finnish) summer cottage: 30 kilometers from the nearest store, in the middle of the wilderness, surrounded by lakes.

Jaakko enjoys working at QPR primarily because of his friendly colleagues, who he describes as caring and hardworking, and always up to provide a helping hand. The friendly set of colleagues combined with the right amount of challenges as well as opportunities to develop himself has made the past two years memorable.
