QPR Software’s Partner, CACI Ltd., a leading provider of IT solutions to the public sector in UK, has announced that Boston Borough Council has selected the performance management system, QPR ScoreCard.
The web-based system will be used to improve the collection, analysis and reporting of all Council performance indicators and help senior managers more effectively monitor local and national targets.
Senior officers and councilors across the Council will have a single point of access for monitoring service development plans and evaluating progress against these. QPR ScoreCard will be used to monitor and report against the Community Strategy, Corporate Plan, Masterplan, Audit Actions and Best Value Performance Indicators.
Deputy Leader of the Council, Councilor Richard Leggott said: “We already use performance information to improve services but it is envisaged that with this computerized program we will be even more effective. Information from the QPR system being installed will be more timely and easier to interpret.
“Therefore where improvements are being made we will be able to identify evidence of the extent of progress earlier and where there are performance issues remaining we will also be able to pick up these problems sooner with a view to taking corrective action at the earliest opportunity."
QPR ScoreCard will be used as a corporate wide tool and will provide users with web access to all Council performance information. The system presents results as traffic light style views to provide users with a clear view of how well the Council is performing against set targets. The tool also offers additional drill-down functionality to allow more detailed investigation against each performance measure – including emails, action plans, comments and strategy documents.
The system will be complete in July and will be rolled out to every Council department, giving access to senior managers, chief officers and Councilors.
